Crockpot Chicken

This Crockpot Chicken has a few simple ingredients:
  • Whole Chicken (2-4lbs.)
  • Your Choice of Seasonings
  • Vegetables of your Choice
Place a thawed whole chicken in a large sized crockpot.  Fill the water level in the crockpot leaving the top of the chicken exposed.  Be sure to remove any gizzards or internals from the chicken.  Leaving the internals and chicken neck inside might cause a problem later when the chicken is cooked (not to mention they taste gross).  Season the chicken to your taste, but I prefer to put Thyme, Salt, Pepper, and Mrs. Dash.  Feel free to add any other poultry seasonings that you like.  Cook the chicken for 6-8 hours on the "high" setting.  Be careful when removing, as it will be very hot.  Be sure to use a strainer spoon to get the remnants of chicken that remain in the cooker.  The chicken will be so tender that it falls off the bone.
